Naming and opening a design

You name a design before you open a view to develop it in. The view opens in a site design window. After you have begun to develop the design, you open it in its view the same way you did the first time.

To name a new site design:

1 Click the Design tab in a site window.

2 Choose Design > New Site Design. A design named "Untitled Design" appears in the Design tab, already selected. In the Extras tab, a folder for the design (also named "Untitled Design") appears in the Designs folder.

3 Type a new name for the design in the Design tab. The "Untitled Design" folder in the Extras tab also receives the new name.

To open a view for a design:

Do one of the following:

  • Double-click the design in the Design tab.
  • Select the design in the Design tab and choose Open Design from the context menu.

  • Designing Web Sites > Setting up a site design > Naming and opening a design
